Tours for School Field Trips, Home School Groups, School Clubs:
Field trips are available from May to mid October at Gammelgården Museum in Scandia, Minnesota (first Swedish settlement in Minnesota dating back to 1850). Immerse your students in the Immigrant/Pioneer experience and give them the gift of living history! The day begins with an immigrant discussion in the Gathering Room of the Välkommen Hus followed by a full tour of all 5 historic buildings.
Admission for Elementary Age Children is always free* at Gammelgården Museum!
Adults admission is $7.00 each.
*Additional activities may be added for a cost of $2.00 per child. Activities include games and crafts from the mid-1800's. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day on our grounds complete with playground, picnic area and bathrooms.
