Traditional Swedish music festival complete with entertainers and family activites. Lots of children's games and activites!
Gammelgården Museum, located in Scandia, Minnesota welcomes the ASI Spelmanslag for the 19th annual SPELMANSSTÄMMA Saturday , August 15, 2009. Led by Paul Dahlin ( a third generation Swedish fiddler)this internationally known group of fiddlers will delight you and set your toes to tapping. Bring your family and friends, cameras and chairs and enjoy a day of great music in a lovely historic setting. The Scandia Community Band will also play.
Spelmansstämma is a long held Swedish tradition for fiddlers to gather on a lovely day, play tunes and teach each other new music . The music has never been written..it is always shared by playing only!

Stamma = Gathering
Scandia, Minnesota is the oldest Swedish settlement in Minnesota. It is near the St. Croix River in a lovely rural setting within 40 miles of the Twin Cities.
