DESCRIPTION:Attention Current and Prospective Gammelgården Gardeners: \nA speaker will make a presentation about gardening to the Gammelgården gardeners who work on the flower gardens. \nAfterwards\, the gardeners will look at the gardens surrounding the buildings and discuss the vision for each one. Information and instructions about what gardeners can do during the season will be provided. \nLunch is provided at the end of the gathering so there is time to enjoy one another’s company. \nPlease sign up to let us know if you will be attending this gathering. If you know of others who would like to plant\, weed\, water\, and maintain the flower gardens at Gammelgården\, bring them along. Make sure you sign them up so we know they will be attending as well.

DESCRIPTION:Embroidery is an old art form. It can be purely decorative or used for mending. All you need is a needle\, some type of thread\, and a foundation to stitch into.  \n \nThere are hundreds of stitch variations. Using different threads – silk vs. wool vs. cotton vs. synthetics – produces different looks.  \n \nOnce you become familiar with the basic stitches\, you can make your own embroidered needle book to store needles for your next project. \nThis class is for adults and 16+ year old youth\, and costs $55 per person. The class fee includes all the materials (handouts with instructions\, felt\, embroidery floss\, needles\, and scissors).
