Learn how to make a dreamy thick and cozy knit blanket out of merino wool roving, plus tips and techniques for caring for these blankets. No knitting experience is required! Knit and crochet designer Cara Corey will show you how to use a “table knitting” technique, forming the stitches with your hands rather than using knitting needles.

In this class, you will also learn:

• How to graft ends together by needle felting
• How to adjust the pattern to make bigger blankets or different dimensions
• How to care for the wool, and use felting to prevent it from fuzzing too much
• How to source wool roving and order it by the pound

The yarn provided is enough wool roving to make a blanket approximately 30×50 inches in size with a lot of stretch. And yes, you will finish a whole blanket in class!

Choose from 10 colors of wool. *Please make your color choice at least 3 weeks before class, so there is enough time to order the wool. Anyone who signs up later than that will receive the undyed cream color.

Class Fee

$50 class fee + $90 materials fee, total: $140

Your materials fee ($90) covers:

-4 pounds of merino wool roving

-Felting needle and foam block for joining wool

-Printed instructions
