Midsommar Cooking Class
June 10 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Students will learn to prepare four Midsommar recipes including smoked salmon open-faced sandwiches, potato salad, refrigerator pickles, and strawberry cake. Everyone will go home with recipes and skills to create their own Midsommar feast.
In Sweden, Midsommar is an important holiday that celebrates the longest day of the year. Many city-dwellers travel to the countryside to celebrate. It’s a time to enjoy simple, fresh foods and the outdoors.
Youth who are 14+ may sign up with an adult. Adult/child pairs will make two meals and pay two materials fees.
NOTE: This class will be held in the kitchen at the Scandia Community Center.
