DESCRIPTION:Come experience a FREE day as an immigrant making a new life on a small farm in the town of Scandia in the late-1800’s. \n\nFrom 1-4 pm\, Gammelgården opens for free each of the five historic and fully-furnished buildings allowing visitors to participate in the work and play as residents of this small farm did in the late-1800’s.\n\nYou may be hauling water\, packing your trunk for America\, doing laundry\, and playing games at “recess” in the new schoolyard.
