SUMMARY:Scandinavian Immigrant Culture through Storytelling\, Comedy\, and Traditional Music
DESCRIPTION:Renee Vaughan\, Chad Filley\, and Bruce Danielson celebrate and preserve shared Scandinavian immigrant culture through storytelling\, comedy\, and traditional music.\n\nWhile studying in Sweden\, Renee learned the stories and tunes of musicians who immigrated to Minnesota in the mid- to late-1800’s and she will be presenting their stories and tunes. She plays with several constellations and is a regular performer at Norsk Høstfest. \n\n\nChad studies historical archives and personal interviews to create unique stories based on Scandinavian immigrants and their descendants. \n\n\nBruce has been performing as Ole for 35 years at many Scandinavian venues. \n\n\nThese three folk artists weave their work together in new and unexpected ways. \nAlthough this event is free\, the capacity is limited to 45 guests.
