Did you know that the Big Marine Lake Store (earlier known as the Kuno Store) harvested and sold ice blocks from Big Marine Lake starting in the 1920s? Try transporting an ice block on a Scandinavian “spark” kicksled or with a historic yoke.\n\n\n1 pm – 3:30 pm\n\nFAMILY CRAFT ACTIVITIES – Välkommen Hus 2nd Floor (big red Welcome House)\nDo a variety of crafts or spend time coloring. Crafts are appropriate for 6+ year olds. All children and teens must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.\n\n\n1:30 pm – 3:30 pm\n\nMEET THE RAPTORS from the Wildlife Research Center – Outside Välkommen Hus (big red Welcome House)\nPresentations at 2 pm and 3 pm.\n\n\n2 pm – 3:45 pm\n\nGOOSECHASE TRIVIA TREASURE HUNT – Start from Gammelgården Museum or the Community Center.\nCompete against your Scandia neighbors in teams of 2-5 people\, earning points for completing missions around Vinterfest and for correctly answering trivia questions about Scandia history\, winter sports\, and Swedish heritage. One smartphone is required per team. Smartphones may be used to search for trivia answers.
