SUMMARY:Volunteer and Member Appreciation Event with the Forest Lake Area Community Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:Gammelgården volunteers and members are invited to this annual event. Invitations are mailed to those who have volunteered or joined/supported the museum in 2025. Please contact Ann at director@gammelgardenmuseum.org if you volunteered in 2025 and did not receive an invitation to the event. \nThis year\, we have a special program featuring the Forest Lake Area Community Orchestra. under the direction of Dave Livermore. The orchestra is composed of community members who have a sincere desire to continue making music with like-minded people. This is the first year the group has played together\, and this is their first performance! In keeping with the area’s heritage\, a program of works by Scandinavian composers was built. This special concert\, for Gammelgården’s members and volunteers\, will be a wonderful way to celebrate Scandinavian orchestral music. \nMembers and volunteers – RSVP by January 10th by emailing Ann at director@gammelgardenmuseum.org or calling 651-433-5053.

DESCRIPTION:10 am – 4 pm – All Day\, Välkommen Hus 2nd Floor (Welcome House – big red building)\n\n\nView the Signs of Winter exhibit. \nShop at Gammelgården’s Butik (Gift Shop). \n\n\n\nActivities indoors at Gammelgården include: \n10:30 am – 12:00 pm – Signs of Winter Puzzle Competition\, Välkommen Hus 2nd Floor (big red Welcome House) \n\nEight teams of up to four people compete to be the first to complete a 1\,000-piece puzzle featuring winter images. Check-in at 10:15 am with the tournament starting at 10:30am. 1st\, 2nd and 3rd Place prizes will be awarded for the Puzzle Tournament. Must pre-register on EventBrite.  Spectators are welcome! \n \n12:30-3:30 – Play-and-Win Board and Card Games – Välkommen Hus 2nd Floor (Welcome House – big red building) \nPlay a variety of board and card games. There are games for all ages and abilities. Enter your name in a drawing to win your favorite game.
