Join us for a morning of film, creativity, and connection with nature! We’ll start with a screening of Frø: Nordic Seed Heroes, a documentary exploring the cultural significance of seed-saving in the Nordic regions. Learn about the importance of restoring global seed diversity and the role it plays in strengthening our food systems and climate resilience.

After the film, we’ll participate in a seed bomb-making activity, where you’ll craft your own seed balls to take home. We’ll conclude with a peaceful walk around the museum’s beautiful grounds. It’s a chance to connect with nature and one another while reflecting on the power of seeds in building a more resilient future.

Bio: Charly Frisk is a passionate climate advocate and strategic communicator committed to driving meaningful change. She holds a Master’s of Environmental Management from Yale School of the Environment and a dual degree in Environmental Studies and Peace Studies from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Originally from Colorado, she has fully embraced Minnesota’s winters and the deep sense of place that comes with them. With a background in environmental storytelling and movement-building, Charly uses film, events, and community engagement to spark conversations about climate resilience. Her documentary Frø: Nordic Seed Heroes explores the cultural significance of seed-saving in Scandinavia, and she has worked on climate communication initiatives spanning from COP to Climate Week NYC.
