Scandia Mercantile Bean Pot

This Scandia Mercantile Co. bean pot belonged to Annie. (Annie was an infant in 1884 when she and her family moved into the Pastor’s Home at Gammelgården. She lived in the house until she was 88 years old.)

Each year, Scandia Mercantile members received a gift at the annual meeting. This bean pot has the company’s name and a message: “Your beans are good. Our bargains are better.”
