She lived in Sicily in the 300s, was a secret Christian, and burned at the stake on December 13, 304. Her Saint Day, December 13, marks the beginning of the Christmas (Jul) season in Scandinavia. The Lucia wearing a silver crown represents the Lucia Maiden helper of Lucia. This set came from Norway.
