Gammelgården is a Blue Star Museum

Gammelgården Museum is pleased to participate in Blue Star Museums, a national program that provides free admission to museums throughout the country. Through this program, Gammelgården provides up to five free guided walk-in tours during the museum’s standard walk-in tour times during the summer for currently-serving U.S. military personnel and their families. (Walk-in tours are held on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30, 1, and 2:30; and on Sundays at 1 and 2:30.)

The 2025 program began on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 17, 2025, and will end on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025. Learn more and find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/BlueStarMuseums.

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and participating museums across America.

Please note these tours cannot be booked online. If you are interested in a guided tour, please arrive 10-15 minutes before tour time. Self-guided tours arrive anytime between 10am and 4pm.
