Looking Back on 2025 and Laying the Groundwork for 2026

As 2025 draws to a close, we at Gammelgarden reflect on a truly remarkable year, made possible by friends like you. We are thrilled to report that 2025 saw the highest attendance in the museum’s history (18,681 visitors), a testament to the vibrant community we’ve built and the rich cultural heritage we preserve.

This year, we made significant strides in our mission, including initiating crucial restoration work on the Pastor’s House to ensure its preservation for future generations.

Our commitment to education flourished with a full schedule of engaging classes and workshops; and free community events that brought history to life for all ages.

We were also proud to host three dedicated interns and help foster the next generation of museum professionals, who gained invaluable experience at Gammelgården.

Furthermore, our collections became more accessible than ever, with over 1,700 artifacts digitized on CollectiveAccess, and making our shared history available to a wider online audience at mncollections.org.

These accomplishments are a direct result of the generous support we receive. Today, the last day of 2025, we ask for your support.

Your year-end contribution is vital in setting Gammelgarden up for even greater success in 2026, enabling us to undertake more essential restoration projects, expand our conservation efforts, and develop new, impactful educational programs.

Please consider making a year-end gift today to help us continue preserving and sharing the stories that connect us all.

Contributions may be made online on the museum’s website or mailed to Gammelgården Museum, P.O. Box 62, Scandia, MN 55073.
