Modern Carved Rooster
This is a modern interpretation of the traditionally-carved Easter Rooster (tupp) from Nusnäs, Dalarna, Sweden.
Carved roosters are usually associated with the celebration of Easter, and remind people that after Peter denied Christ three times, the rooster crowed. Many people who raise and like chickens also have sculptures like these as decorations in their homes.
This was a gift to Gammelgården in 2021.
