Gammelgården Museum of Scandia will be passing out free cinnamon buns at the museum in celebration of the 44th anniversary of Cinnamon Bun Day. The cinnamon buns will be distributed at the museum on a first-come, first-served basis.

When you pick up your cinnamon bun, plan to spend some time looking at the Welcome House (the big red building) and seeing the following exhibits and displays:
– Games, Toys, and Pastimes of the Mid- to Late-1800s
– Wool Production
– Tin Type Photography
– Dala Horses
– Charlotte Weibull Dolls

The grounds are open for people to walk around and see the exterior of the historic buildings. For those wanting to see the inside of the historic buildings, guided tours will be offered at 10:30, 1, and 2:30 on Friday. (Regular fees for tours apply.)

(This event is in addition to passing out cinnamon buns with the Scandia-Marine Lions and City of Scandia at the corner of Elim Lutheran Church, the cemetery, Scandia Mercantile, and Apothecary’s Daughter earlier in the day from 6:30 -8:30 a.m.)
