    Gammelgården Museum is closed from Sunday, October 25th through Tuesday, November 3rd. We will reopen on Wednesday, November 4th with the holiday exhibits and artwork throughout the museum; and the holiday merchandise in the Butik and lobby.

  • Fars Dag (Father’s Day) in Sweden

    Fars Dag - or Father’s Day - is celebrated on the second Sunday in November in Sweden, instead of in June. Father’s Day in Sweden was initially celebrated in June, but then various commercial organizations wanted it moved in 1931, so it wouldn’t compete with Mother’s Day (Mors dag) on the last Sunday of May.
