Charlotte Weibull Doll with Red Headdress
This is one of over 100 Swedish dolls in Gammelgarden’s collection that was made by famous Swedish dollmaker, educator, and folklore artist, Charlotte Weibull (1917-2015).
These dolls are dressed in beautiful folk dresses of the Swedish peasantry, and they are very well-known and valuable items for doll collectors throughout the world.
Charlotte Weibull received global recognition for her work with national dress and especially for her production of these dolls.
Gammelgarden is so grateful to Sagrid Edman for donating her doll collection to the museum so that visitors can enjoy and appreciate them!
