Spelmansstämman 2021 | Gammelgården Museum’s 30th Annual Spelmansstämma
Join us on August 21, 2021 for Spelmansstämman as we celebrate the long held Swedish folk music tradition of the immigrant fiddle. This celebration is based on an outdoor gathering (stämma) of Swedish fiddlers (spelman) to share music, friendship and cultural traditions.
This year’s music lineup includes Ross Sutter, ASI Spelmanslag, ASI Lilla Spelmanslag, The Twin Cities Nyckelharpalag, Laulu Aika, Kittiwake and Upper Midwest Folk Fiddlers.

Spelmansståmman begins with a parade of folk musicians followed by music from each performance group. Consider arriving early for a free tour the museum’s historic buildings and pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on the museum grounds. Ice cream and beverages will be available to purchase beginning at 1:00.
