Make a Påskris (Swedish Easter Tree)

Traditionally in Sweden, Norway, and Finland this time of year, fresh-cut branches are put in water. After the branches bud, small leaves open in a week or so. The budding branches are decorated with ornaments, decorations, and colorful ribbons for the coming of spring and the Easter holiday.
Making a Påskris – or Easter Tree – is such a creative and beautiful way to celebrate the final days of winter. This holiday project can be done by adults, children, and families. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The fee is $10 per person or $20 for a child/adult pair – all supplies (except jar or vase) are included. Please bring a vase or jar from home to hold your Påskris.
