Volunteers Needed for Season Opening Day & Other Roles at Gammelgården

Gammelgården is looking for volunteers to help at Season Opening Day on Saturday, May 2nd. Volunteers truly make this event possible – including setting up, welcoming visitors, overseeing crafts and hands-on children’s activities, and hosting the play-to-win board and card games.

With flowers and plants already emerging in the gardens, the museum welcomes new and returning volunteers to help plant, weed, and water the many gardens.

New this year: be a Saturday activities host! Each Saturday, volunteers will be in the classroom and exhibit space in the Welcome House. Volunteers will welcome students taking classes, obtain items the class instructors may need, shelve books in the non-lending resource library, and ensure that the supplies for the hands-on activities are orderly and available to visitors.
