Gammelgården is Launching a Capital Campaign
Gammelgården has a long history in the community of maintaining a collection of six buildings – five historic and one contemporary – as well as offering engaging programs and events.
We are at a pivotal moment in the museum’s story; and are officially launching a capital campaign to ensure that our buildings remain a vibrant, welcoming, and safe space for all.
Our vision for this campaign focuses on four areas:
- Restoring the Pastor’s House: Preserving the architectural integrity of this historic building that was home to four families.
- Completing the Windows in the Stuga: Finishing the restoration of the windows so they are functional and protect the building.
- Revitalizing the Old Church: Addressing necessary structural work to ensure this building continues to serve our community.
- Improving Accessibility: Ensuring that our buildings and grounds are inclusive and welcoming to every member of our community, regardless of physical ability.
This is an ambitious undertaking, and one that honors our past while securing our future. Over the coming months, we will reach out through various means to share more about our goals and how you can play a vital role in the restoration efforts.
