Wedding Toasting Cup (Replica)
This is a replica of a wedding toasting cup from Dalarna, Sweden. This was made for the tourist trade.
The wooden wedding cup is ornately carved, usually owned by a community, and used at the wedding feast by the bride and groom to toast each other with homemade beer. To drink from this, the bride would drink from one side and the groom the other side. To drink, you need to put your head through the handles, with the idea of showing that the couple is now yoked together as a team.
