There are many upcoming events from October through December. Click on the link for more information and to register.

** Scandia Evening Adventures – Thursday, October 19, November 16, and December 21 – 5-8 pm. This is your opportunity to save 20% off everything in the gift shop (Butik). No other discounts apply. The evening shopping times are a great time to freshen up your wardrobe with new clothes and jewelry; get some of your holiday shopping done; and get items for your holiday table and meals. Other businesses in Scandia and Marine have a variety of special deals, food, and beverages at their locations.

** Annie’s Coffee Party + Swedish Folk Painting Presentation – Saturday, October 21 and 28 – 10:30 am-12:30 pm and 1:30-3:30 pm. There will be three courses of food along with your coffee. Hear presentations about the Swedish Folk Painting: Tradition and Innovation exhibit shared between courses. The cost is $15.00 per person (over age 12). Be sure to RSVP. No walk-ins will be accepted. Space is limited to 36 guests.

** Storytime with Lynne – Wednesday, November 1 and December 6 – 10:30-11:30 am. This is a special time for parents, grandparents, and preschool teachers to spend time with their preschool-age children as they listen to a story and see artifacts from the museum’s collection that tie into the book.

** Birch Log Tomtes and Christmas Ornaments – Saturday, November 18th, 10:30 am – 12 noon. Only 12 spots left for this favorite holiday class!

** Holiday Decorations and Tree Ornaments – Saturday, November 18th, 1:30-3 pm. Only 8 spots remaining.

** Krumkake with Heidi Eger – Sunday, November 19th, 11:15am -12:45 pm. Only 1 spot remaining.

** Annie’s Jul(Christmas)-theme Coffee Parties – Saturday, December 2, 9, and 16. 10:30-12:30 and 1:30-3:30. RSVPs must be made. There are no walk-ins. Register early since these coffee parties sell out.

** Paint a Swedish Heart Basket – Friday, December 8 – 10:30 am – 12:30 pm – NOTE: Held in the morning on a weekday when the museum is quiet. This class is ideal for youth and adults with autism and sensory challenges. 

** Luciadagen – Sunday, December 10 – 6:00 am and 8:30 am. The services is held in the Old Church at Gammelgården. There are 49 reserved seats available. RSVPs must be made by signing up through Eventbrite or calling the gift shop at 651-433-5053.
